Our Vision
Ipswich School Sports Centre aims to create an environment that inspires a lifelong passion for sport and physical activity.
Our high-quality sports facilities are open to schools, clubs and the wider community, providing opportunities for people of all ages and abilities to train, compete, learn and enjoy being active.
What we do
Sport is at the heart of what we do. Across our facilities, we provide a wide range of opportunities for children, young people and adults from across the local community.
During the school holidays, our programme includes sports camps, masterclasses and activity courses, with specialist coaching designed to develop skills, build confidence and help participants improve their performance. Our programmes are open to young people from all schools and colleges.
Throughout the year, our facilities also host a wide range of community sport and activities, from swimming, cricket and badminton to fitness classes and recreational sessions.
We are proud to provide a welcoming environment where individuals, schools and clubs can enjoy excellent facilities, expert coaching and a shared passion for sport.
Home to Local Sport
ISSC Rushmere is proud to be home to Ipswich & East Suffolk Hockey Club, alongside a wide range of local sports clubs, teams and community groups who regularly train, compete and meet at our facilities.
Our aim is to provide a high-quality sporting environment that supports participation at every level – from grassroots and junior sport through to established clubs and competitive teams.

Supporting Our Community
Our facilities play an important role in sport across Ipswich and Suffolk.
We work with local schools, clubs, sporting organisations and charities to host tournaments, competitions, community events and activities throughout the year. We also support opportunities for young people to get involved in sport through coaching and school activity programmes.
Excellent Facilities
ISSC Rushmere offers an extensive range of sports and event facilities available for community and private hire.
The site includes an indoor sports hall with a sprung floor, three all-weather pitches, netball and tennis courts, and extensive grass sports pitches.
Away from the field of play, Rushmere also offers a licensed bar, spacious lounge and a separate meeting room, making it a flexible venue for meetings, functions, presentations and events.
